On this 8th of March, the international day of women's rights, WeWard is committed and looks back on the numerous associative projects financed thanks to the walk and the donations of its users, in favor of women.

Access to women's health is our priority!

‍Toaddress this alarming figure of one in eight women with breast cancer in Belgium and more than 60,000 in France, WeWard has partnered with Think Pink for more than 2 years.

In concrete terms, what have your donations been used for?

Through regular campaigns and on the occasion of Pink October, together we have been able to provide people with breast cancer with hundreds of help and advice boxes! We have also collaborated with the Antoine Lacassagne Center (Cancer Center of Nice of the Unicancer network) to allow 100 women to join a research project that will benefit all those suffering from breast cancer.

Thanks to the Heart Bus of the Endowment Fund Act for Women's Hearts, a nationwide screening operation, we have set ourselves the goal of saving 10,000 women from cardiovascular disease by 2025. On board the Bus, health professionals welcome them in order to put them back into a structured cardio-gynaecological care pathway.

Stop violence against women in the world

‍
‍Oneof WeWard's emergencies is to enable women around the world to live safely.

But how do you take part in the impact?

We have partnered with many associations in Europe to fight violence against women and provide them with housing, including UN Women France and Care. Thanks to your generosity and your steps, 330 Haitian women have been sheltered from violence following the destruction of their homes after the earthquake that hit the country on August 14. With the association Care, we promote gender equity and equality, the empowerment of women as well as their effective participation in decision-making at all levels of the development process in Togo.

The impact of containment in March 2021: The French walk even more!

"National containment", "restriction of authorized outings" or "curfew": a jargon that has become common in recent months among the French and the world. In France, the first sanitary measures were put in place on March 17, 2020 for a period of 1 month and 28 days. Then, as a déjà vu, a second time on October 30, 2020 for a duration of 1 month and 16 days. Finally, a third containment was announced on April 5, 2021. This set of restrictions on travel and human contact impact the practice of walking of the inhabitants of France.
